Attention John Hardy Fans! Newest Collections
I know there are a bunch of you out there who are HUGE JOHN HARDY FANS! And, being a John Hardy fan myself, and working in a jewelry store with lots of John Hardy jewelry, it would seem that I would know when John Hardy comes out with a new collection. I don’t know how he did it, but somehow he snuck two out without me knowing!

Kali Menari Collection which seems like a combination (he combines a lot) of his Kali Collection (meaning river stone) and a new Menari Collection. I “Googled” Menari and it means “dance”. so I guess “river stone dance”?
The Kawung Collection is also new. I “Googled” the word Kawung and only found out that it is a design motif that was reserved for the sultan’s use and that it’s original meaning has been lost over the course of time.
I love how each of his collections have a personality all their own and they are all very distinct. You can actually tell what collection each piece is from! Not so with all designers. That is one of the things John Hardy is VERY good at…there is a wonderful human story behind him and each of his jewelry collections. I think that is why I am such a fan.
So, for all you fans out there please comment and let me know if you like these new collections or not…or just stop by and tell me what your FAVORITE COLLECTION is and why you love it.
Happy Shopping!

Hello, Rebecca. Kali actually means river in Bahasa Indonesia and Balinese. Kali Menari thus means Dancing River (it looks like the waves on a river, right?). John’s other collection Batu Kali means River Stone. Kawung is a type of tree on which Indonesians made alcoholic drink. A design of kawung leaf is also used in batik printing, and that’s the design motif reserved for the king. Hope you dont mind my comments
