Chopard Sponsors Enduring Vision/Elton John Aids Foundation Gala
The star studded Chopard sponsored event took place on Tuesday Evening at the Waldorf Astoria under heavy security. According to the NYDailyNews.com, the event to fight AIDS took place at the same time as President Bush was staying at the hotel. As Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne made their way past the police and the bomb sniffing dogs at the Waldorf, a member of the security team asked “Are you here to see the President?” to which Sharon answered “No, we are here to see the Queen”. She affectionately meant the Rocket Man himself, Sir Elton John. With a guest list like that you can imagine the party was very entertaining and quite successful in raising money (2.25 million to be exact). Later on in the Evening the Osbournes, Harry Slatkin and Chopard co-president Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele were presented with Enduring Vision awards to recognize their support in the fight against AIDS. Keep up the good work Rocket Man!
