Jewelry Trend: Stacking Bangles with your Wristwatch?
Stacking Bangles is hot but I have to admit I’m not crazy about the latest twist on this trend! I was reading Cynthia Sliwa’s post over on JCKonline.com where she cited a October 2007 Glamour magazine article where they suggested spicing up your wristwatch with a couple of bangle bracelets. This just struck me as wrong. If you have a fine wristwatch, like a nice Chopard Happy Sport for example, why would you put a bracelet next to it that will scratch it like crazy? Fashion has to make sense and risking a costly refinish for your Chopard, Cartier or whatever just isn’t worth it. Stack those bangles on your wrist opposite your watch and I’m all for it!
