Rising gold prices do not seem to have affected the high end jewelry market. However, low to medium priced jewelry that is generally made as wholesale jewelry took a beating. Most wholesale jewelry manufacturers reported increased orders in silver jewelry. This increase could be partially due to movement of low price gold jewelry buyers shifting to silver jewelry.
