Talk about a brand that is really coming into its own groove! Word has it that this year’s Corum Collection for 2008 will be even more focused than ever. Yes, there will always be the perennial classics like the Coin Watch, but to get an idea of where this company is headed look out for the refinement and evolution of collections like the Admirals Cup, Golden Bridge and now, the Romulus (or if you can pronounce Romvlvs) . Corum is very serious about catapulting to the top and taking its position alongside the true elite brands. They have made some serious headway with heavy investments into the development of new movements in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture. The end goal is to combine the highest degree of technology and quality of with the creative dynamics of Montres Corum to produce a wristwatch second to none.
J. R. Dunn Jewelers will be representing Corum wristwatches at the 48th edition Fort Lauderdale Boat Show starting October 25th through the 29th. The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is considered the ” World’s Greatest Boat Show”, and more than 2 billion dollars worth of boats, yachts and superyachts will be shown.

Sometimes bigger is better…or at least more desirable according to an article in Newsweek this month. Women are starting to embrace larger timepieces then the classically smaller wristwatches from the past. One of the watch companies embracing this is Corum. They have the Classical Billionaire Tourbillon that measures 46mm (pictured here). Who wouldn’t want this watch! And, the trend just seems to be getting larger, even to the point of taking up the whole wrist. Quite a few watch designers are listening and making changes accordingly.
The Corum Admirals Cup Competition 48 millimeter is our hot pick of the day. Todays pick was hand chosen by avid Corum fan, Sean Dunn. “I love everything about this watch! It’s perfect for those who are into the sporting aspects of boating. If you’re like me you want a watch that can stand the rigors of line fishing from the surface as well as the constant atmospheric pressure during spearfishing below…… On land, I like the fact the watch has a very masculine size, but with the rubber strap it doesn’t come across as overpowering. It also happens to be extremely comfortable.”
