He has already teamed up with other designers such Louis Vuitton, David Yurman, and Tiffany and Co. to create pieces with “Green” & “Back to School” themes for a silent auction to raise funds for the DEF.

You won’t believe this one! According to BBC News, police chiefs in the Thai capitol of Bankok are taking punishing their sub-ordinates way too far! They are making them wear an bright pink armband featuring the Hello Kitty motif and two hearts on it for days at a time. This is meant to shame them to help build discipline. What has the world come to? You think this bad for the officer but imagine the poor guy who gets arrested and his friends find out he was incarcerated by a feline wearing policeman.

I just got back from the 2007 JCK Jewelry shows in Las Vegas. So of course, everyone has asked how was Vegas and the only thing I can say is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! Everything was fantastic from the unbelievable new jewelry designs to the great company, food, events, and parties. After our buys at this show, I must say, this season is going to be “delicious. Yellow gold is back with a vengeance with great fun bold looks and rose gold is hot too.Many of the jewelry designers exhibiting at this year’s shows have really stepped up to the changes in fashion jewelry. A few that really stand out include John Hardy, Roberto Coin, Chopard, and most of the Italian designers. At John Hardy I loved everything that was introduced for the season. Our John Hardy lovers and collectors are going to be in heaven when they see these new additions to the line. And the Simmons men’s jewelry line is awesome, lots of new designs and the introduction of the green collection. Not to forget Hello Kitty by Kimora Lee Simmons this jewelry is absolutely adorable and nostalgic.In Vegas we were able to attend the Simmons Jewelry Co. Party held at V-Bar at the Venetian. This party attended by Russell Simmons and 100 or so guests was sweet. From the moment we hit the entrance of V-Bar we knew this was going to be a great party supporting and creating awareness about the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) which Russell Simmons helps support with his new Green Collection.

To sum it up the 2007 JCK Vegas Shows were phenomenal and this season’s fashion jewelry is going to be new, fresh, and exciting. I can’t wait to see our clients faces, they will absolutely love all the new looks.

Simmons Jewelry Co. has officially launched the Green Initiative, the “Green Bracelet,” scheduled to hit select retail stores near the end of March.The announcement came directly from Simmons Jewelry Co. owners Russell and Kimora Lee Simons.
