Basel 2008 Watch Fair | New Models
I predict the 2008 Basel Watch Fair will be the most spectacular show in decades. So what causing all this excitement? On April 3rd, the world’s most respected watch manufacturer will be updating it’s website with its new 2008 Basel Collections. Speculation is abound about the new models and the buzz is big! Only three days away and counting……..How sweet this time of year is!

I was looking around the Tag Heuer website and found that the Jodie Foster’s movie, The Brave One, shows Terrence Howard wearing a 
J. R. Dunn Jewelers will be representing Corum wristwatches at the 48th edition 
Sometimes bigger is better…or at least more desirable according to an article in Newsweek this month. Women are starting to embrace larger timepieces then the classically smaller wristwatches from the past. One of the watch companies embracing this is Corum. They have the Classical Billionaire Tourbillon that measures 46mm (pictured here). Who wouldn’t want this watch! And, the trend just seems to be getting larger, even to the point of taking up the whole wrist. Quite a few watch designers are listening and making changes accordingly.
Breitling Designs New Dashboard Clock For Bentley’s Launch of Continental GT Speed. The Continental GT Speed caused quite a sensation at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. It’s a high performance version inspired by the 1920’s Bentley “Speed” models and, with a 600-HP engine with a top speed of 202mph the Continental GT Speed is the most powerful production Bentley ever! So to celebrate the accomplishment, Breitling redesigned the dashboard clock. The clock features the raised winged B in gold as well as silver plated hands. The minute circle has been slimmed down and the hour circle features four larger numerals marking the quarters.
