It looks like Russell Simmons is going to throw one heck of a party in the Hampton’s on September 1st to benefit the Diamond Empowerment Fund. He has already teamed up with other designers such Louis Vuitton, David Yurman, and Tiffany and Co. to create pieces with “Green” & “Back to School” themes for a silent auction to raise funds for the DEF.
Apparently all you need to get your guest pass will be the purchase of a special “Green Bracelet” from the Simmons Jewelry Company. The retail of the bracelet featuring malachite beads and a rough diamond is $125. More than $20 dollars from each sale will go to the Diamond Empowerment Fund to benefit African communities where diamonds are a natural resource. (I’m sure if you already own a Green Bracelet you’ll probably need to buy an additional one at the door to gain access. After all, this is to benefit Charity.)
One hundred and twenty five dollars, with a portion going to charity, is a small price to pay to hang out with the cool Hollywood crowd. The latest designs from Simmons Jewelry Co. including Hello Kitty , Green Initiative and Baby Phat collections.
